Head of Legal (m/w/d) - full remote möglich

As Head of Legal (m/f/d), you will assume professional and organizational responsibility for large parts of our legal department and relieve the General Counsel of central day-to-day tasks. You will actively participate in building and structuring the Legal department, drive new processes forward, and shape collaboration with management, executives, and business units.

What You Can Look Forward To

• You will take on a large portion of the General Counsel's operational and strategic legal work and act as their close sparring partner and deputy.
• You will handle corporate law matters in all their breadth: corporate governance, shareholder resolutions, ownership structures, holding and group law, M&A transactions, and corporate compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• You will be the central point of contact for employment law matters and their contractual and organizational implementation.
• You will further develop and implement the use of AI/AI-supported working methods in the legal department and build the necessary structures, tools, and processes for this.
• You will conduct contract negotiations and independently manage external consultants, law firms, and authorities.
• You will support product teams in the legal guidance of their projects and keep track of regulatory developments.
• You will report directly to the General Counsel and assume their representation as needed.

What Distinguishes You

• You have completed two legal state examinations, at least one of which with a grade of "very good" or better, or equivalent qualifications.
• You have several years (ideally 8+ years) of experience in corporate law and related topics such as M&A, corporate governance, and ownership structures – acquired as an in-house counsel and/or at a law firm; knowledge in IT law and employment law round out your profile.
• You have already independently managed complex corporate law projects, ideally in an international, high-growth, or platform/e-commerce environment.
• You bring demonstrable experience in the use of AI tools in the legal field and have already built structures, skills, or workflows for productive AI use in a legal department.
• You are characterized by entrepreneurial thinking, sound risk awareness, and high social competence.
• With your communication skills and likable demeanor, you convince at all levels and always work with great precision.
• Leadership experience rounds out your profile.
• You are able to explain complex matters in a simple and concise manner and have very good English language skills.
